About Us
Our Instructors:
Lucky Child, Inc is a corporation started by a pair of best friends, Robyn Collar and Rachel Hanson.
In 2006, Rachel and Robyn met at a playgroup Robyn was hosting. One thing led to another and within months a close friendship was formed.
As successful business women and doting mothers, it only made sense after awhile to put the two pieces together and start a business that combined the two attributes and the two friends. Thus, Lucky Child was born.
Being in the midst of raising toddlers and infants in San Diego County, Rachel and Robyn realized there was a need for a center that would address numerous facets of early childhood learning and exploration. Their vision was based on what they saw to be a need for families in North County San Diego and from there, the plans took off.
Lucky Child is built on the foundation of three words: stimulate, educate and create. These are the ways we want the Lucky Child Center to affect the children and parents that take part in our classes and workshops. Children will come to lucky child to partake in experiences that stimulate them both mentally and physically. Our desire is that children that come to the center will be challenged from a creative standpoint, by discovering new ideas, perspectives and thought processes. The ultimate goal is that we add to the education of children and parents through Lucky Child, by partnering with parents as they raise the next generation of leaders in our community.
In addition to the educational aspect of Lucky Child, Robyn and Rachel decided to add another one of their passions to the vision: shopping! Together, they’ve put together a boutique for the health conscious, forward thinking, modern, and trendy family. The products carried at Lucky Child support the vision and are unique and different—definitely not run of the mill stuff!
So, come on in, take a class, watch your children discover, or better yet, YOU discover what Lucky Child has to offer
and then see your family grow and evolve through your new experiences.
